Because moms need each other, Rogue Valley Moms for Moms shrinks the miles between moms in Southern Oregon. We strive to empower and harness the brilliance within our community by gathering together all the resources for Rogue Valley moms into one place, so as to leave no mom in our valley behind.

Proud of my Kentucky upbringing, I’ve always been a “feisty Southern gal” with a talent for writing and horseback riding, a creative flair and a hunger for challenges. People who knew me in high school and college quickly realized I ran between (instead of with) crowds. I never chose one group of people over another. When it came to friends, I had all kinds, and I loved nothing more than bringing all kinds of different people together.

My husband Jay and I moved to the Rogue Valley in May of 2006 to follow his business opportunity. We’d never talked seriously about having kids until we fell in love with this beautiful, bountiful valley! In the years since, I’ve worked both freelance and in-house jobs for professional writing, advertising and social media. In June of 2009, I gave birth to our first son Joshua. Six months after he was born, I went back to work and spent the next several years in that tug-a-war that is being a mother with a full time job outside the house.

In June of 2012, when I found out I was pregnant with our second son, I knew I wanted to become a stay-at-home mom and raise my boys full time. I made January 31st my last day at the ad agency where I was working and gave birth to Joel in February of 2013.

A few months before, I’d stumbled across a link for Bend Moms for Moms and immediately saw the promise and huge potential for a similar community in the Rogue Valley. A mom in this valley can often feel isolated, like there’s just too much of I-5 stretching between her and other moms. Rogue Valley Moms for Moms gives us all the wings we need to overcome those miles and fly with one another.
