Community Owner of Missoula Moms for Moms
“With support I realized what I was feeling was shared by many new moms. I became determined to help and nurture moms. Becoming the owner of Missoula Moms for Moms is the perfect opportunity for me to make a difference.”
When I became pregnant with my daughter, Mira, she became the center of my world. I wanted to protect her, provide for her, and give her everything. I knew parenting was going to be challenging, but I wasn’t prepared for the emotions that followed Mira’s birth. When I got home from the hospital, I felt overwhelmed, anxious, isolated, and trapped. I would cry every day for days, and every day I would feel guilty for not being the happy new mom that I had envisioned. My incredibly supportive husband didn’t know what to do for me, and I didn’t know what to ask for to make things better. Eventually, I reached out to a high school friend who was also a new mother. She had a similar experience, and was encouraging, supportive and made me feel less alone. It was with her support that I realized what I was feeling was shared by many new moms. It was through that experience that I became determined to help and nurture new moms. Becoming the owner of Missoula Moms for Moms Comm
Unity is the perfect opportunity for me to make a difference. I want to help be part of a support network for moms in this beautiful town we all call home. No matter where you are in your motherhood journey, I never want you to feel alone, because you are not. You have the whole community of Missoula mamas here to back you.
